Hannawa Falls—Funeral services for 94 year old Roberta A. “Suzie” Warner, a resident of the Highland Nursing Home, Massena, and formerly of Hannawa Falls, will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Church in Colton with Rev. Msgr. Robert Aucoin presiding. Burial will be held in the Visitation Cemetery, Norfolk. Family and friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home in Colton in Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mrs. Warner passed away Sunday afternoon at the Highland Nursing Home in Massena. Mrs. Warner is survived by her daughters, Norene and Garrison Randall, Colton; Donna Irish, Danielson, CT.; her son James and Karen Warner, Danielson, CT; twelve grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and her two sisters, Eileen French, Brasher Falls and Jean Bouilieau, DePeyster. Mrs. Warner was pre-deceased by her husband Ernest, two daughters, Carolyn Perry and Gwendolyn Hart; two grandchildren, James and Robin Warner, her two brothers, Nelson and Herbert and four sisters, Beatrice Olmstead, Eva Murray, Bobbie-Ann Doxtator and Eunice Stevens. Born in Norfolk on January 23, 1918 to the late James and Juliann Christian Brothers, she married Ernest J. Warner on December 5, 1936. He passed away on July 27, 1987. She worked as a caregiver in the area and took care of many elderly people as well as children. She was everybody’s mother. She was a communicant of St. Patrick’s Church and enjoyed going to bingo, camping and playing cards. Memorial donations can be made to the Hannawa Falls Fire Department.
