RAYMONDVILLE—Graveside services for 82 year old Bernice E. Sharlow of 8776 St. Highway 56, Raymondville, will be held Friday at 10 am at the Visitation Cemetery in Norfolk. Family and friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home in Norfolk on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. There will be a luncheon to follow the services at the cemetery at the Norfolk American Legion. Mrs. Sharlow passed away Tuesday afternoon at Massena Memorial Hospital. Bernice is survived by six sons, William and Sheryl, Massena; Douglas and Cyndee, Knoxville, TN; Kenneth, Saranac Lake; Daniel and Rita, Raymondville; Philip and Denise, Franklin, NH; Richard Patricia, Raymondville; her daughter, Mrs. Reginald Valerie Monroe, Raymondville; eighteen grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, her three brothers, Donald DeRushia, Arizona; Robert McVey, Texas; Kenneth DeRushia, Cortland, and her four sisters, Jacque Reasor, Vivian Stanke, Patricia Sibley, all of Texas and Jean Whalen of Louisville. Bernice was pre-deceased by her parents, her husband Daniel and a brother James DeRushia. Born in Raymondville on March 5, 1929 to the late John H. and Blanche Shampine DeRushia, she married Daniel J. Sharlow on April 26, 1947 in Louisville. He passed away on July 31, 2005. She was a homemaker and member of the Norfolk American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She loved country music and enjoyed singing with family and friends.
