Obituary of Anthony P. Gushlaw

NORFOLK –Anthony P. “Tony” Gushlaw, age 67 of 8331 State Highway 56, Norfolk; died Thursday afternoon at his home. There will be no calling hours. Graveside services will be held at a later date in Visitation Cemetery, Norfolk. Surviving are his wife Sharon of Norfolk; four sons, Anthony P. (Kim) Gushlaw Jr., Norwood, David ( Katie) Gushlaw, Rochester; Gary (Josefa) Gushlaw, Massena; and Brian Gushlaw and companion Laurie Bueso of Rochester.He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; one brother James (Judy) Gushlaw of Rhode Island and one sister Diane Bond of Norfolk. Born in Potsdam on February 6, 1944; son of Howard and Mildred Despaw Gushlaw; he married Sharon Pavlu on September 4, 1965. He was employed as a nurses aide at the Potsdam Nursing Home before becoming disabled. He was past-president of the Tri –Town Little League, past member of the West Potsdam Fire Department, and was active in community projects .
