MADRIDFuneral services for 78 year old Thomas C. Rutherford, 3197 State Highway 310, Madrid, will be held Monday at 2 pm at the Dailey Ridge Church with Rev. Mike Sedore presiding. Burial will be held in the Dailey Ridge Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home in Norfolk on Monday from 12:30 to 1:30 pm. Mr. Rutherford passed away Tuesday evening at the St. Regis Nursing Home in Massena.
Thomas is survived by his wife, Marie, Madrid; his two sons, William Rutherford, Madrid and James and Valerie Rutherford, Cape Canaveral, FL. He is also survived by his two sisters, Maude Kahrs, Cold Spring, NY and Arlene and David Bliven, Connersville, Indiana; one cousin, Linda Donnelly and several nieces and nephews.
Born in Potsdam on July 22, 1932 to the late Bennett and Effie Bellus Rutherford, he was a self-employed farmer. Memories and condolences may be shared at www.buckfuneralhome.com . Memorial Donations can be made to the Physical Therapy Department at the St. Regis Nursing Home or to the Dailey Ridge Church for the upkeep of the cemetery.
