NORWOODFuneral services for 54 year old David A. Ribeiro, 50 Prospect Street, Norwood, will be held Friday at 8:30 in the evening at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood with Rev. Lee Sweeney presiding. Burial and graveside services will be held in the Catholic Community of Moriah Cemetery, Moriah, New York, Saturday at 1 pm. Family and friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood on Friday from 6:30 until the time of the funeral. Mr. Ribeiro passed away Monday at the Fletcher-Allen Health Care Center in Burlington, VT.
David is survived by his wife Corinne, Norwood; his son, Shawn and Andrea Ribeiro, North Carolina; his three granddaughters and his three sisters, Diane and Richard Gross, Rochester; Celeste and Max Hall, Florida and Lauri and Frank Cappello, Potsdam and several nieces and nephews. David was pre-deceased by his brother Joseph.
Born in Ticonderoga on April 24, 1956 to the late Albano and Loraine Forgette Ribeiro, he married Corinne Rothstein on May 10, 1986. He worked in Miami, Florida for the Federal Prison System as a Correctional Officer. He served in the Army from 1978-1984 with the Military Police. He was a member of the Norwood American Legion and was a past member of the Norwood Kiwanis and the Port Henry K of C. He loved spending time hunting and fishing.
