NORFOLK– Memorial Services for 52 year old Florence M. LaPoint will be held for family and friends on Friday July 11 at 6 pm at the home of Florence and her mother Betty Benway, 24 South Main Street, Norfolk. Mrs. LaPoint passed away on Sunday evening. Survivors– Mother– Betty, Norfolk; Son– Matthew and Heather Planty, Raymondville; Daughter– Jennifer Belile, Norfolk; 4 Grandchildren– Cody, Jake, Madison Planty, Hailey Lanning; Brothers– Gilbert and Beverly Benway, Raymondville; Gerald and Yvonne Benway II, Raymondville; Ronald and Elizabeth Casey, Massena; Gary and Mary Casey, Raymondville; Sister– Mrs. Charles Marilyn Louise LaDue, Raymondville. Born in Massena on February 1, 1956 to Gerald D. and Betty Backus Benway, a marriage to Thomas Planty ended in divorce. She was self-employed as a Nurses Aid for Home Health Care. She loved gardening, cooking, the outdoors, and collecting antiques, along with being with her grandchildren. Donations can be made to the Massena Humane Society, the Norfolk Rescue Squad or to the Norfolk Fire Dept. Arrangements are with the Buck Funeral Home in Norfolk.
