NORWOOD Funeral services for 85 year old Webster Roy Mason of 2397 County Rt. 35, Norwood; will be held Wednesday at 11 AM at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood with Rev. Lee Sweeney, presiding. Burial will be in St. Patricks Cemetery in Brasher Falls. Friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood, Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8. Mr. Mason died Saturday morning at his home.
Surviving are two sons; James W. and Pamela Mason, Parishville; Paul F. Mason, Georgia; three daughters; Mrs. Allen Katherine Deon, Norwood; Ms. Carol A. Mason, Norwood; and Ms. Darlene M. Tyler of Norwood. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; Lisa, Mark, and Todd Deon, Tina McGregor, Renae Johnson, Kari Chase, Roy Mason, Nathan White and Adam White; and eighteen great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers; Earl and Donna Mason of Ogdensburg; Charles and Sally Mason of Syracuse; one sister. Bettie Hardy of Canton. He was pre-deceased by a son Michael and a daughter Helen at infancy.
Born in Antwerp on December 16, 1925; son of Roy J. and Myrtle M. Maybee Mason; he married Mary Annabelle Currier on October 15, 1946. She died on December 31, 1989. He was a laborer for the New York State Department of Transportation, Potsdam Branch. He was a member of the Norwood Kiwanis Club, and a World War II Army Veteran. Donations may be made to the Norwood Kiwanis Club.
