NORFOLKFuneral Services for 90 year old Helen M. Coller (Meme), 4428 State Highway 310, Norfolk, will be held Thursday at 3 pm at the Buck Funeral Home in Norfolk, with Rev. Andrew Amyot, Pastor of the St. Raymonds Church, presiding. Burial will be held in the Visitation Cemetery, Norfolk. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 1 pm until the time of the funeral at the Buck Funeral Home in Norfolk. Mrs. Coller passed away Monday evening at the Canton-Potsdam Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Helen will be dearly missed by all of her caregivers including Sandy Pendleton, Courtney Cabaniss, Barb Morpaw, Tina Garrow, Ashley Dishaw and Meagan Holmes. The family would like to extend a very special thank-you to Dr. McCall and the nursing staff on the second floor at Canton-Potsdam Hospital for all of their special care and kindness.
Helen is survived by her husband Paul, Norfolk; her two sons, Thaddeus (Ted) and Darlene Coller, Norfolk; Francis and Julie Coller, Norfolk; her five grandchildren, Heather and Brian Sullivan, Jason Coller and his Fiancé Becky Tessier, Randy Coller and companion Kerry Trombley, Richard and Tara Coller and Justin and Ayla Coller and her ten great-grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by her brothers Francis Hurteau, who was killed in action during WW II and Wayne Hurteau.
Born in Malone, NY on October 23, 1920 to the late Herbert and Jeanette Fellion Hurteau, she married Paul Earl Coller at the Church of the Visitation with Rev. Francis J. Connors officiating. They were married for 65 years. She graduated from the Malone School of Business and worked for HP Hood Milk Factory in Norfolk and as a tax collector for the Norfolk School. She was a member of St. Raymonds Church in Raymondville. She was a member of the Church of the Visitation Altar and Rosary Society and the Eastern Star. Helen enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing and spending time with her family. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.buckfuneralhome.com .
