NORWOOD—Funeral services for 67 year old Gaile V. Colbert, 1225 River Road, Norwood, will be held Saturday at 10 am at St. Phillips Episcopal Church in Norwood with Deacon Kathryn Boswell and Rev. Msgr. Harry Snow presiding. Burial will be held in the Riverside Cemetery, Norwood. Friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Mrs. Colbert passed away on Tuesday at Fletcher-Allen Medical Center in Burlington, VT. Gaile is survived by her husband of 41 years, Charles, Norwood, her five daughters, Joy Washburn, Altavista, Virginia; Annette and Scott Blaise, Rustburg, Virginia; Heidi and David Inman, Altavista, Virginia; Charlene and Phillip Deleel, Norfolk; Gwendolyn and Kurt Hallquist, Lascassas, TN, and her ten grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by her brother Wayne Washburn. Born in Potsdam on July 10, 1943 to the late Kenneth H. and Gwendolyn Hauver Washburn, she married Charles E. Colbert on January 18, 1969. She worked as a secretary and paralegal for most of her career, lastly at the Jerry Leek Law firm. She brought light into everyone’s life that knew her through her wonderful paintings, her dolls, both beautiful and boobiful, and her love of the farm and her horses. She could make you smile during your hardest times and never let you faulter your faith in God and the Holy Trinity. Gaile will be remembered with laughter and tears and the memories that she made for all of us. There will be a celebration of life following the funeral service at the family home on River Road. Memorial donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.buckfuneralhome.com .
