SOUTH COLTONFuneral services for 67 year old Francis V. Doyle, Mill Street, South Colton, will be held Wednesday at 1 pm at the Iseneker Funeral Home in Lowville. Burial will be held in the Martinsburg cemetery. Calling hours will be held at the Buck Funeral Home in Colton on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm and on Wednesday in Lowville at the Iseneker Funeral Home from 12 noon until the time of the funeral. Mr. Doyle passed away Saturday in Burlington, VT.
Francis is survived by his two sons, Brian and Denise of Oswego, Timothy and Cheryl of Colton, his daughter Wendy and Patrick Quinn, Austin, Texas, five grandchildren, Morgan Doyle, Riley Doyle, Shannon Doyle, Luke Quinn, Caitlin Quinn, his sister Susan Doyle Makuch, Lowville and a nephew, Chip and Heather Makuch, Great Bend.
Born in Lowville on December 9, 1942 to the late Virgil and Helen Nortz Doyle, a marriage to Sandra Pryor on September 4, 1965 ended in divorce. He graduated from Lowville Academy and received a Civil Engineering Degree form Clarkson University. He was a member of the Carpenters Union and worker for Fisher and Rexford Construction in Colton as a superintendent. He enjoyed tinkering on old cars and loved spending time at camp.
