COLTONMemorial services for 67 year old Blanchard W. Junior Howe Jr., 67 Gulf Road, Colton, will be held Monday at 6 pm at the Colton Zion Episcopal Church in Colton with Rev. Pat LaVine presiding. There will be a reception to follow at the family home. At the request of Junior, there will be no calling hours. Junior passed away Wednesday evening at his home.
Junior is survived by his wife, Kathleen, Colton, a son Joseph Allen Howe, Watertown, his daughter, Mrs. Michael Tonya Murdie, Chaumont, NY, a grandson Lance Murdie, his sister Mrs. Roveletta Huiatt, Norwood and his nieces and nephews.
Born in Potsdam on March 25, 1943 to the late Blanchard and Jennie Tyo Howe Sr., he was a graduate of the National Hardwood Lumber School in Memphis, Tennessee. He married Kathleen Glasgow on June 26, 1965. He worked for Corning Glass in Canton, NY as a Bricklayer, mason and plaster. He was a honorary member of the Colton Fire Department and was president of the Chapp Hill Hunting Club. He was a member of Local 2 Bricklayers and Plasters Union. He was a respected woodsman and outdoorsman in the area. Memorial donations can be made to the Richard E.
