Dear Janet and family,
Please accept my most heartfelt condolences upon the passing of your dear mother. I remember her fondly both from our school days together and then more recently when I retured to Norwood with my family. One of my fondest memories is the grand party you had on your birthday shortly after I moved to Norwood in 1956 and what a great sport your mother was about everything. She really was quite a lady and she will be missed by all who knew her. God Bless you all.

Hello Janet, Sharon, and Deb,
I am so sorry to read about the passing of your mom. She was a great lady and neighbor. Oh how I miss her calling out to me, asking if I wanted a freshly made donut. She was always so good to me. I'm sorry for your sorrow but know that she is in heaven and heaven is a better place now. Helen was always so proud of her children and Deb I remember when you were born and how happy Helen and George were. Helen was always a special person and I will miss her!

I remember my Aunt Helen's life as an infrequent visitor to the home my folks always visited between military assignments around the world. There were also the occasional sad times like these when family loved ones passed. But always, like a strong oak in a mighty wind, Aunt Helen would be there, smiling, making space, cooking, laughing, and welcoming us into her home. There would be the card games, the fishing, the times on the archery course, the frog gigging, the partying, the clean-up, and the ever present glow of happiness across her entire face. In my mind she was a living saint here on earth. Now, even though it saddens those of us who knew her, we all know she is in a much finer place where pain and misery are banished, where loved ones welcome her home, and she is the guest of honor.

To my cousins and their families,
It is difficult to know where to begin in expressing my appreciation for your mother, grandmother, and great grandmother! Maybe starting with the word great is appropriate. As an aunt, she was great to our family. In the rare occasion that our mother may not be available, you only had to call Aunt Helen or show up on Park St. and your problem was solved. She would feed you, iron your clothes and show you how to hold a bow and arrow, and actually shoot at the target! She even typed my college term papers! There was nothing that she wouldn't do for family, friends or neighbors.
She was one of a kind and will be missed, but the stories of kindness, her constant grin, and laughter will live on forever in our minds.
We always knew she had a spot in heaven, if anyone did. She has now recieved her reward!
God bless all of you at this difficult time! I will see you this weekend!
