Obituary of Grace A. Hatley

NORFOLK– Graveside services for 91 year old Grace A. Hatley of 13 South Main Street, Norfolk, will be held in the springtime in Bixby cemetery, Norfolk. At the request of Grace, there will be no calling hours or funeral service at this time. Grace passed away late Tuesday evening at Massena Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Hatley is survived by her sons Wayne Hatley, Philadelphia, PA and Edward and Deb Hatley, New Jersey, her daughters Arlene Haney, Altmar, NY and Mrs. Thomas Janice Woodward, Norwood and by ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and her nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her brothers Richard and Vincent Adriance and her sisters Ruth Studley and Effie Hubby. Born in Pittsfield, Massachusetts on March 17, 1918 to the late Walter and Molly Grant Adriance, she married William Hatley on July 11, 1953. He passed away on February 17, 1984. While living in Massachusetts, she worked as an accountant for the Woolworth Corporation. She also worked at the Pressey flower shop while living in Norfolk. She loved animals, bird watching, bingo and the company of her best friend, the late Mable Bosjile. Memorial Donations can be made to the Potsdam Humane Society.
