NORFOLK– Memorial services for 94 year old D. Russell Mills and his wife Edith L. Mills, will be held Saturday January 2, 2010 at 11 am at the Norfolk Wesleyan Church with Rev. Brendon Hardy, pastor, presiding. Burial will be held in Raymondville cemetery in the spring. Mr. Mills is survived by his three sons, David and Elizabeth, Lebanon, NJ; Barry and Joyce, Damascus, MD and Jeffrey and Hazel of Mertztown, PA and ten grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by his wife Edith on September 12, 2009. Born in Flemington, NJ on March 21, 1915 to Archibald and Jane Summerton Mills, he married Edith L. Engelen on September 5, 1975. He worked at Bayville School System in Bayville, NJ as the Superintendent of Boiler Operations at the school. He was also a New Jersey State Licensed Stationary Engineer. He moved to St. Lawrence County when he retired. He was on the School Board of Education in Lebanon, NJ , the Masonic Blue Lodge in Clinton, NJ and a member of the What Cheer Lodge in Norwood for eighteen years. He was also a member of the Shriners-Media Temple of Watertown. Memorial Donations can be made to any Masonic Charity, the Disabled Veterans or to the Norfolk Wesleyan Church.
