Born in Patuxent River, Maryland on July 5, 1958 to James E. and Ellen K. Burdick, he retired from the U.S. Army in 1997 after 20 years of service. He was a member of the Vietnam Vets / Legacy Vets motorcycle club, the Norwood American Legion, the Massena Amvets, Canton VFW and was a former member of the Booze Fighters Club in Virginia. He loved educating people about the Wall in Washington D.C., often taking people there to see it in person. Rons life was filled with diversity and he always thought of others first. An artist in several forms, he painted, worked with leather, was a soldier, father, brother to all, a biker, a friend, and of all, a giver of hope and happiness. His heart was matched by his size and personality. Known to his brothers and friends as Hawg Head, he lived his life on an open road with an open heart and a getr done mentality. The Family would like to extend thanks to all who have helped us through this most difficult time. He will truly be missed by all. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Norwood American Legion. Memories and condolences can be shared with the family at www.buckfuneralhome.com .
