NORWOOD– Funeral services for 67 year old Gerald E. Colbert, of the Highland Nursing Home and formerly of the Douglas Road, Norwood, will be held Wednesday at 10 am at the Daily Ridge Church. Burial will be held in Riverside Cemetery, Norwood. Calling hours will be held at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Mr. Colbert is survived by his three brothers, Larry and Sandra, Norwood; David and Monique, Norfolk and Donald and Sandra, Norwood and several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by a brother Douglas. Born in Potsdam on December 12, 1941 to the late Donald and Marjorie Daggett, he graduated from Norwood-Norfolk Central in 1960. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1961-1965. He retired from ALCOA in Massena in 1995 after 30 years as an Electrician. He was a member of the Daily Ridge Church, the Norwood Masonic Lodge, Norfolk American Legion, Massena Experimental Aircraft Association, the ALCOA 25 year club and was a ground-breaking member of the worlds largest air show in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
