Obituary of Marion H. Gabri

NORFOLK- Marion H. Gabri, 87, passed away August 20, 2009. Mary was born in Norfolk, New York, Septembed 11,1921, and lived in Norfolk her entire life, having attended Norfolk High School. She was employed in the food service department at State University New York at Potsdam until her retirement. Mary was a member of the Church of the Visitation. Mary loved cooking and baking and was devoted and loyal to those she loved. Mary was the beloved sister of John(Delores) Gabri of Ballston Spa, New York and of Margaret (Wil) Lehnert of Berea, Ohio, and the dear aunt of ten nieces and three nephews, of several grand nieces and nephews,and of several great-grand nieces and nephews.Mary was the beloved daughter of the late Elizabeth (nee Schwartz) and John Gabri.Mary was pre-deceased by an infant sister, Margit, and a very young brother, John; brothers , Stephen (killed in action -WW II ), Andrew, and Joseph (Violet-Massena ) Gabri; a nephew, Steven, and a grand niece,Crystal. A Memorial Mass will be held Monday, September 28, 2009 at 1PM at the Church of the Visitation in Norfolk with Rev. Andrew Amyot, pastor, officiating. Internment was in Visitation Cemetery. Family and friends may gather at the gravesite after the mass for a blessing of the grave.
