CANTON A memorial service for 23 year old Jesse D. McCarthy, of 3 Giffin Road, Canton, will be held on Friday, September 25, at the Buck Funeral Home in Colton. Friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home in Colton on Sunday September 20, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Mr. McCarthy passed away on Thursday evening.
Jesse is survived by his parents, Ed and Kelly McCarthy, Canton, a brother, Ian Smith, Canton, a sister, Cassandra McCarthy, Cockeysville, Maryland, a niece, Alaina Stromgren, a nephew, Jonathan Stromgren, and his girlfriend, Juanita Richards, Hopkinton. Jesse is also survived by his maternal grandparents David and Kathleen Amo, Canton and his paternal grandmother Alene McCarthy, Colton.
Born in Ogdensburg on April 8, 1986 to Edward and Kelly Amo McCarthy, he worked as a Correctional Officer at the Washington Correctional Facility in Comstock, NY. He loved playing the guitar, especially playing the Blues. He also had a love of the outdoors, enjoying hunting and fishing. He enjoyed Harley-Davidson motorcycles.
