Obituary of Joyce A. Cavanaugh

NORWOOD- Memorial services for 77 year old Joyce Ann Cavanaugh of 26 Spring Street, Norwood; will be held Wednesday at 10AM at St. Andrews Church in Norwood with Rev. Msgr. Harry Snow, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hoosick Falls, New York.There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are with the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood.Mrs. Cavanaugh died Sunday evening at her home. Surviving are three sons; Patrick and his wife Cindy and Peter, both of Norwood; and Albert of Manchester,N.H.; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild;one brother;William and his wife Debra Hammill of Rooseveltown;one sister; Julia and her husband David Dishaw of Rooseveltown;two brothers-in-law;Bernard Bero of Hogansburg and Alex Gabri of Rooseveltown; one sister-in-law Mary T. Hammill of Rooseveltown and nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by a brother Albert W. "Brother" Hammill and two sisters; Florence E. Gabri and Ann B. Bero. Born in Massena on March 18, 1932, daughter of Albert W. and Florence Comins Hammill, she married Patrick J. Cavanaugh Jr. on September 21, 1957. He died on July 21, 2007. She was employed at Canton-Potsdam Hospital as a nurse and was also supervisor of the Potsdam Nursing Home at one time. She was a communicant of St. Andrew Church.
