Obituary of Lena I. Arquitte

NORFOLK– Funeral services for 86 year old Lena I. Arquitte, of the St. Regis Nursing Home, Massena, and formerly of Norfolk, will be held Saturday at 1 pm at the Buck Funeral Home in Norfolk with Rev. Thomas Davis presiding. Burial will be held in the West Stockholm cemetery. Friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home on Saturday from 11 am until the time of the funeral. Mrs Arquitte passed away on Tuesday. Lena is survived by her three sons, Robert Arquitte, Commerce, TX, Leslie and Raelyn, Commerce, TX, Darryl and Joan, Crystal Springs, FL, her two daughters, Mrs. Michel Dora Carriere, Plattsburgh, Mrs. Robert Deborah Stanford, Carthage, twelve grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, a sister Elva “Honey” Kaiser, Norfolk and a sister-in-law Helen Richards of Norfolk and nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her brothers Henry, Ransom, Leslie, and Howard. Born in Norfolk on May 7, 1923 to the late Leslie and Irene Simons Richards, she married Ellis E. Arquitte on December 20, 1941. He passed away in 1991. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Norfolk Methodist Church, the United Methodist Womens Organization and the Jolly Agers Seniors Club.
