Hannawa Falls Calling hours for 57 year old Michael J. Fisher, of 5508 State Highway 56, Hannawa Falls, will be held Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Buck Funeral Home in Colton. Graveside services will be held on Friday June 26 at 2 pm in the South Colton Cemetery with Rev. Edward Law presiding. Mr. Fisher passed away on Friday afternoon at his home with his family by his side.
Michael is survived by his wife Desiree, a son Chad and his companion Lacey Staires, Norwood, a daughter, Mrs. Brian Emily Keddy, Colton, two granddaughters, Karissa Keddy and Cohlee Staires, his sisters, Alene McCarthy, South Colton, Mrs. Jerry Lucy Hartson, Hannawa Falls, Cindy Fisher, Potsdam, and his brothers Robert Selleck, Potsdam and Dale and Janet Fisher of Oswego. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mike was pre-deceased by a brother William Selleck.
Born on January 31, 1952 to the late Donald and Nancy Palmer Fisher, he was raised by his paternal grandparents, the late Charles and Nano Fisher. He graduated from Colton-Pierrepont Central School in 1970. He went on to attend Canton ATC and later, RIT in Rochester. He married Desiree Parmeter on October 18, 2003. Two prior marriages ended in divorce. He worked for Eastman Kodak in Rochester and Mitel in Ogdensburg and later worked for Corning in Canton as an inspector from 1985 until his retirement in 2007 due to ill health. He was a member of the Ogdensburg Moose Lodge and enjoyed his grandchildren. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Richard E.
