Norwood – Karl Donald Peterson 65 passed away on Saturday June 13th at his home from a heart attack. There will be no funeral service or calling hours. Burial will be private. He is survived by Sandra, his wife of 42 years; a daughter, Karri and her husband Major Del P. Boyer and grandchildren Vincent and Cassi stationed in Korea; and a son Kerm and his wife Tracy Peets Peterson and grandchildren Duncan, Emily and Noelle of Henrietta, NY. He was born in Potsdam, NY on June 19, 1943 the son of Donald Woodroe Peterson (deceased) and C. Ruth Peterson. He is survived by two sisters, Kay and Jan and a brother, Terry B. Peterson and wife Donna Trimboli Peterson along with several nieces and nephews. Karl graduated from Potsdam High School in 1962. Following graduation he joined the Air Force and served from 1962-1966. He was employed at the Massena Alcoa Plant from 1967-2000. After retirement he loved to backhoe, spend time with friends at the American legion and play cards. He was a lifetime member of Massena Am. Vets, Norfolk American Legion and a charter member of the American Legion Riders. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Norfolk American Legion or the American Heart Association.
