MADRID - Memorial services for 71 year old George L. Mattice of 83 Pearson Road, Madrid, will be held Wednesday, June 10th. at 6PM at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood with Rev. Lee Sweeney, pastor of the Knapps Station Community Church, officiating.Friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood Wednesday from 3-6PM. Mr. Mattice died Friday morning at his home. Surviving are his wife Betty of Madrid; a son Robert V. of Madrid; 2 Daughters; Mrs. Alan Brenda Rexford of Canton and Ms. Kimberlee Odendahl and her fiance Douglas McClellan of Colchester, VT.;4 Grandchildren;Alisha,Aaron, and Frederick Rexford and Emilee Odendahl; 3 Brothers; David and Donna Mattice,Canton;Roger Mattice and Companion Vicky Harper;Madrid and Douglas Mattice of Madrid.He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.He was pre-deceased by a son George Michael. Born in Norfolk on October 21, 1937, son of Vernon and Martha Babbit Mattice, he married Betty L. Goolden on October 21, 1937.He owned and operated Northway Plumbing,Heating, and Electrical prior to becoming ill.
