Obituary of John E. "Jack" Bartlett

NORWOOD – Funeral services for John E. "Jack" Bartlett, 81, a resident of 4 Baldwin Ave, Norwood, will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at 12 noon at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood with Elder Ken Ashley presiding. Burial will follow the services in Fairview Cemetery, Parishville, NY. Family and friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the services. Mr. Bartlett passed away early Wednesday morning, December 28, 2023 at the Canton-Potsdam Hospital with family at his side. John is survived by his wife of 43 years, Frances R. Bartlett, Norwood; two sons, John (Debbie) Bartlett and Jerry Bartlett, both of Colton; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his step-children, Theresa Allen, AZ; Reed Bizzari, OH; Paul Wilson, OH; Tracy Swetz, OH; Amy Swetz, OH; Deborah Donoghue, NY and Phillip Donoghue, NY; a brother, Larry (Carol) Bartlett, Georgia as well as his nieces, nephews and beloved dog "Reggie". John was pre-deceased by his parents and a brother, Roger. Born in Potsdam, NY on February 6, 1942 to the late John E. and Marguerite Clark Bartlett, John graduated from Norwood-Norfolk Central School and worked at ALCOA as an Engineer for the Massena Terminal Railroad for many years. In his free time, John enjoyed hobby trains, reading and listening to country music.
