NORWOOD—Graveside services for 81 year old June W. Moody, a resident of 57 Park Street, Norwood, will be held Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at 1 p.m. at the Hopkinton-Ft. Jackson Cemetery with Pastor Lee Sweeney presiding. Mrs. Moody passed away on October 11, 2016 at the St. Regis Nursing Home with her family at her side. June is survived by a daughter, Bonnie Oemcke, Norwood; a grandson, Michael and Kacy Hartson, South Carolina and her three beloved grandchildren, Grayson, Koulston and Aubrey Hartson. June was pre-deceased by her husband Vernon C. Moody on March 1, 2015 and two brothers, Ralph and Larry Castle as well as two sisters, Amy Smith and Myrtle Deere. Born in Parishville, NY on June 29, 1935 to the late Ernest and Winifred Lucas Castle, she married Vernon C. Moody on July 4, 1953. She worked at the Canton-Potsdam Hospital in the Laundry Department for 18 years. June loved being in the outdoors. She enjoyed fishing and boating as well as taking care of the lawns and garden at their house. She also enjoyed knitting.
