Obituary of Cynthia A. Cavanaugh

NORWOOD—Calling Hours for 53 year old Cynthia A. Cavanaugh, a resident of 26 Spring Street, Norwood, will be held Monday, September 26, 2016 from 1-3 p.m. at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood. Burial will be held in the Calvary Cemetery in Massena at a late date. Mrs. Cavanaugh passed away Sunday evening at the Canton-Potsdam Hospital. Cynthia is survived by her husband of 30 years, Patrick J. Cavanaugh III, Norwood; a son, Corey Cavanaugh and his companion Jess Saxby, Norfolk; a daughter, Sara Cavanaugh and her companion CJ Goings, Potsdam; three grandchildren, Aiden, Michael, Wyatt; her three brothers, Terry and Wendy Baxter, Moravia, NY; Dale Jr. and his companion Margaret, Norfolk; William, Philippines; two sisters, Kathy and Richard Lenz, Waddington and Vicky and Steve Pike, Massena as well as several nieces and nephews. Born in Massena, NY on October 22, 1962 to the late Dale J. and Mary LeBire Baxter, Cynthia married Patrick J. Cavanaugh III on March 14, 1986. She worked as a cook and waitress at various places, including KCR in Raymondville and Nin's Place in Norfolk. Previously, Cynthia worked as a nurses aid at the Potsdam and Highland Nursing Homes. Cynthia loved to spend time with her family, her many friends and especially her grandchildren. She also was a good cook. Memorial Donations in her memory can be made to a charity of one's choice.
