Obituary of James P. "Pat" Shepard

NORFOLK— Calling hours for 77 year old James P. "Pat" Shepard, a resident of 77 VanKennen Road, Norfolk, will be held Saturday, September 3, 2016 from 10 a.m. until 12 noon at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood. Mr. Shepard passed away Saturday at the Canton-Potsdam Hospital. Pat is survived by his wife, Linda, Norfolk; his sons, Kristopher, Norfolk; Patrick, Texas; Roland Pryce and Heather Patnode, Brasher Falls; Bruce and Stacey Pryce, Norfolk; a daughter, Tammy and Roger Murray, Norfolk; three grandchildren; a brother, John "Jack" and Margaret Shepard, Norfolk; and two sisters, Sharon Clifford and Gert Earle, both of Ohio. He was pre-deceased by his brothers Lloyd, David, Donald and a sister, Shirley Liebfred. Born in Potsdam, NY on November 10, 1938 to the late Francis and Florence LaComb Shepard, he married Linda Pruner on December 24, 1977. He worked for the Canton-Potsdam Hospital for 25 years in the Housekeeping Department. Lately, Pat was helping with the Massena Meals on Wheels and the Independent Living Center in Massena as well. He loved to be outside in the woods hunting and enjoyed watching the Western Channel on TV. Memorial Donations can be made to the Norfolk Rescue Squad in Pat's memory.
