Obituary of Agatha P. Carson

NORFOLK—A Mass of Christian Burial for 86 year old Agatha P. Carson, a resident of 3176 County Route 49, will be held Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Visitation in Norfolk with Rev. Msgr. John Murphy presiding. Burial will be held in the Visitation Cemetery in the spring. Family and friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home in Norfolk on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mrs. Carson passed away Wednesday afternoon at the Canton-Potsdam Hospital. Agatha is survived by her son, Duane, Norfolk; her daughter, Brenda and Steven Michaud, Massena; her two grandchildren, Aaron and Cassi Michaud and Keri Michaud, both of Charlotte, NC. Agatha is also survived by a sister, Agnes and Joseph Charette, Massena as well as several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her brothers Donald and Raymond Robideau, Norman LaComb and her sister, June Sumpter. Born in Massena, NY on August 5, 1929 to the late Horace and Carrie Vice Robideau, she married Gerald “Jake” Carson on May 20, 1950. Agatha was a homemaker and also worked at Carbino’s Jewelry Store in Potsdam and Massena for many years. She was a communicant of the Church of the Visitation and was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. She was a member of the Seaway Valley Seniors and enjoyed playing cards, listening to country music and dancing. Agatha loved to spend time with her family and friends and truly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Memorial Donations can be made in her memory to the Church of the Visitation.
