NORWOOD—A prayer service for 70 year old Lawrence W. Gravelle, 4 South Main Street, Norwood, will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood with Rev. Msgr. John Murphy presiding. A calling hour will be held from 2 p.m. until the time of the service. Mr. Gravelle passed away Sunday at the Canton-Potsdam Hospital. Larry is survived by his son Aaron and April Gravelle, Norwood and his daughter, Bliss and Jeff Fayette, Theresa. He is also survived by his grandchildren Jeremy Fayette, Paige Fayette, Avery Gravelle and Brook Fayette. Larry was pre-deceased by his brother Lee in 2014. Born in Malone, NY on March 5, 1945 to the late Robert and Hazel Goodman Gravelle, a marriage to Marie Smith ended in divorce. He worked for Cornell’s Dry Cleaning in Massena for 20 years. Previously, Larry worked at the Potsdam Paper Mill and was co-owner of Ambassador Cleaners in Norwood with his father for many years. Larry enjoyed hunting, fishing and collecting Model Railroad Trains and had a passion for participating in the Civil War re-enactments.
