WEST POTSDAM—Funeral services for 55 year old Robert T. Matthie Jr., a resident of 2123 County Route 35, Norwood, will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Buck Funeral Home in Colton with Rev. Tom Chappell presiding. Burial will be held in the Pleasant Mound Cemetery. Family and friends can call at the Buck Funeral Home in Colton on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral. Mr. Matthie passed away unexpectedly early Friday morning at his home. Robert is survived by his brothers Gary, West Potsdam; Timothy, Connecticut; John Moore Jr., Rensselaer Falls; Terry, Albany; his two sisters, Donna Matthie, DePeyster and Linda Ward, Ogdensburg and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Robert was pre-deceased by his mother, Lorena in 2010 and two sisters, Barbara and Lorena. Born in Potsdam on March 24, 1960 to Robert and Lorena Irish Matthie Sr., Robert has worked for the Sandstone Housing Corporation at Mayfield in Potsdam for over 30 years in the maintenance department. In his spare time, Robert enjoyed the outdoors, working on cars and watching TV. Memorial donations can be shared with the family.
