COLTON—Funeral services for 83 year old Reginald Arthur “Reggie” Stowe, 78 Stowe Bay Road, Colton, will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Stowe Bay, Higley Flow, in Colton with Rev. Lee Sweeney, pastor of the Knapps Station Community Church presiding. Burial will be held in Pleasant Mound Cemetery following the service. Family and friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home in Colton on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Mr. Stowe passed away Sunday evening at his home. Reggie is survived by his two sons, Brian Stowe, Colton; Stephen and Wendy Stowe, Colton; his daughter, Vicky and Kevin Williams, Norwood as well as seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Born in Colton, NY on July 4, 1932 to the late Arthur and Mayfred Pearl Stowe, he married Sirona Mariea on November 1, 1952. Sirona passed away October 31, 2001. He worked for Niagara Mohawk as a line handler and later, he was a control operator for the hydro dams. He retired after 42 years of service. He owned and operated “Stowe Bay Park” in Colton on Higley Flow and many years ago, he owned a gas station on Higley Flow. Reginald was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Colton, the Colton Fire Department, and at one time, patrolled with the Neighborhood Watch Program and also helped with the Meals On Wheels Program. He enjoyed logging, woodworking, motorcycles, and puttering around the house. Memorial donations may be made to the Colton Fire Department in his name.
