Obituary of Scott K. Burrows

LISBON—Funeral services for 53 year old Scott K. Burrows, of 25 Lawrence Road, Lisbon, will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the Norwood Free Methodist Church with Rev. Floyd McCallum presiding. Burial will be held following the service at the Riverside Cemetery in Norwood. Family and friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood on Thursday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Mr. Burrows passed away Monday morning at Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center in Ogdensburg. Scott is survived by his mother, Thelma Burrows, Norwood; a son, John and his companion Romina Gonzales Rivera, Huntington, NY; his two brothers, Terry and Betty Burrows, Norwood, and Brian and Lisa Burrows, NH; a sister Brenda and Bruce Stone, Colton and his nieces and nephews. Scott was pre-deceased by his father and also his wife Denise, who passed away just three weeks ago on June 3, 2015. Born in Potsdam on November 26, 1961 to Arlend Dale and Thelma Rounds Burrows, he married the late Denise McDonald on July 19, 1986. Scott was a substance abuse counselor at Riverview Correctional Facility. He enjoyed puzzles, watching and collecting NASCAR memorabilia, building computers, and he had a passion for politics and after talking to him, you knew how he stood. Scott was a member of the Lisbon Wesleyan Church. Memorial donations may be made to the Lisbon Wesleyan Church in Scott’s memory.
