POMPANO BEACH, FL. – Barbara F. Bernard, 63, a resident of Pompano Beach, FL and formerly of the North Country, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2026 at her home. Barbara was born on August 1, 1963, daughter of Frances Margittay and Robert Bernard. She is survived by her life partner, Tom Carter, Pompano Beach, FL; her son, Brandon McGregor (Jean Lyng) and her grandsons Hayden and Jackson McGregor (Mason and Nora Lyng), all of Massena; her siblings Brian Bernard, Weedsport, NY; John (Ann) Margittay Jr., Norwood; Emily Enslow, Norwood and Betsy (Robert) Myers, Norwood as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Barbara was pre-deceased by her mother Frances Margittay, her step-father, John Margittay Sr., a brother Christopher Bernard and a niece Ashli Bernard.
