KNAPPS STATION - Calling hours for Sharon G. Chase, 67, a resident of 1023 Old Market Road, Potsdam, will be held on Friday, February 13, 2026 from 4-7 p.m. at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood. Mark Hebel will offer a prayer at the conclusion of calling hours. Sharon passed away Friday morning, February 6, 2026 at the Canton-Potsdam Hospital. Sharon is survived by her husband of 47 years, Thomas; her son, Joseph and Tracy Chase, Stockholm and her three beloved grandchildren, Tyler Leone, Brody Chase and Ella Chase. Sharon is also survived by her mother, Stella Hollinger, United Helpers, Canton and her three sisters, Geraldine "Geri" and Leon Mitchell, Norwood; Susan and David Ackerman, Oswego and Margaret "Peggy" Chase, Norwood as well as several nieces and nephews. Sharon was pre-deceased by her father, William.
Born in Potsdam, NY on April 20, 1958 to William and Stella Claffey Hollinger, she graduated from Norwood-Norfolk Central School, Class of 1977. She married Thomas L. Chase on June 3, 1978. Sharon was currently working for the Community Developmental Program in Canton as a receptionist. Previously, Sharon worked as the Food Service Director for the Potsdam Central Schools. In her spare time, Sharon enjoyed her flowers, birdwatching and spending time in the kitchen baking. She was known to make the best homemade bagels around. Sharon also liked to go camping and to travel on occasion. She especially enjoyed her trip to Wyoming to see Brody. Most of all, Sharon enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and grandchildren. Memorial donations in Sharon's memory can be made to the Potsdam Humane Society or to a charity of one's choice and memories and condolences may be shared online at www.buckfuneralhome.com .
