POTSDAM – Graveside services for William O. Goodrich, 90, a resident of 2779 St. Highway 72, Potsdam, will be held in the spring in Riverside Cemetery, Norwood. Mr. Goodrich passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 9, 2026 in an automobile accident. William is survived by a son, Ricky Goodrich, Potsdam; a daughter, Michelle Goodrich Oehler and her companion Jeffrey Tavernia, Potsdam; his four beloved grandchildren, Jamey Sharlow (Olivia Johnson), Allie and Steve McCorduck, Kristen Goodrich and Julie and Ray Wolniewicz and two great-grandchildren, Natalie and Lauren Wolniewicz. William is also survived by two brothers, Roger and Larry (Linda) Goodrich, both from the State of Washington as well as several nieces and nephews. William was pre-deceased by his parents Donald and Merle, a brother, Donald "Keith" Goodrich; two sisters, Betty Thomas and Marge Slocum and his longtime friend, Evelyn L. Goodrich Johnston in 2023.

Born in Parishville, NY on July 17, 1935 to the late Donald H. and Merle LaFleur Goodrich, William graduated from Parishville-Hopkinton Central School. He married Evelyn Larabee on June 23, 1956. Although the marriage ended in divorce, William and Evelyn remained close and were best friends. William worked in maintenance at a complex in Lynchburg, VA for many years before moving back to the North Country, a place he loved dearly. In his spare time, William enjoyed spending time with his family and was an avid sports enthusiast, but he especially enjoyed watching the NY Yankees, the NFL and spending time with his beloved friend, the family dog, Jakey.
