POTSDAM - A Celebration of Life gathering for Darwin J. "DD" Clemons Jr., 22, a resident of Potsdam, will be held on Saturday March 7, 2026 at the Norfolk Hepburn Library Hall, starting at 2 p.m. Prayers and a eulogy will be spoken by Duane Walrath. Darwin passed away at his home on December 22, 2025, peacefully in his sleep. Born in Massena, NY on September 5, 2003 to Darwin Clemons Sr. and Neli Cook, he attended Potsdam High School and completed 11th grade. As a child, he enjoyed spending the night with his younger brother Richard Huff and playing with his partners-in-crime, his cousins Isaac Cook of Bangor; Alexis Murdock of Pierrepont and Lyman Walrath of Pierrepont. He also enjoyed playing on his phone and playing games.

He is survived by his father, Darwin J. Clemons, Potsdam; his mother, Neli and Melvin Huff, Norfolk; a brother, Richard Thomas Huff, Clare; a sister, Alisha Clemons; a step brother, Melvin Huff III, Norfolk and a step sister, Raylyn Huff, Potsdam; his paternal grandmother, Elaine Clemons, Potsdam and his maternal grandmother, Rena Cook, Clare. Darwin is also survived by aunts and uncles whom include Daniel and Michelle Clemons, Kenneth and Lisa Clemons (Darwins God Parents), Kevin and Terri Clemons, David Clemons and his fiancé Michelle French, Jeremy Cook and Peter Recore as well as many cousins. Darwin is pre-deceased by his maternal grandfather, Robert Cook and his aunt, Amylee Cook. Memorial donations for Darwin can be made to the family.
