NORWOOD - A Celebration of Life gathering for Irene C. Ober, 76, a resident of 242 Lakeshore Drive, Norwood, will be held privately for the family at a later date. Mrs. Ober passed away peacefully early Tuesday morning at her home with family at her side. Irene is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Leon, Norwood; her children, Scott (Billie Jo) Ober, South Colton and Bobbie Jo and (Gerald Tucker), Hawthore, FL, her beloved grandchildren, Alicia (Josh) Merrow, Kimberly (Tyler Manning), Nicole (Justin) Fulk and Gary Dunkelberg as well as seven great-grandchildren as well as a brother, William (Bill) and Diane Woodward, FL and a sister-in-law, Peggy Agnew, Norwood. Irene was pre-deceased by her parents William and Helen and a brother Gary Woodward.

Born in Buffalo, NY on March 4, 1949 to the late William and Helen Kristyak Woodward, Irene attended highschool and married her childhood sweetheart, Leon Ober on July 23, 1966 just before he was drafted to serve our country. Irene was a devoted homemaker and in her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends - camping, cookouts and also enjoyed ceramics and going to auctions and visiting with people.
