NORWOOD - Calling hours for David A. Szabo, 75, a resident of 1578 River Road, Norwood, will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2025 at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood from 4-7 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 7 p.m. by Rev. Lee Sweeney. Burial will be held in the Visitation Cemetery in the spring. David is survived by his longtime life partner Bette Baker, Norwood; his two children, Brandon and Kristen Szabo and Kasia Szabo, both of Norwood and his beloved two grandchildren, Colin and Alec Szabo. David was pre-deceased by his parents.

Born in Potsdam, NY on March 18, 1950 to the late Alexander and Sophie Stelmaskyk Szabo, David graduated from Norwood-Norfolk Central School and worked as an equipment operator for many years, working for the St. Lawrence County Highway Department. David led a simple life, enjoying life on the "Sabohaz Farm", the Hungarian name for the family farm. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved nothing more than to be in the woods chasing whitetail deer and spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.
