NORWOOD - A Mass of Christian Burial for Robert J. Vice, 94, a resident of the Massena Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Massena and formerly of Norwood will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at 11 a.m. at St. Andrew's Church in Norwood with Rev. Raymond Moreau presiding. Burial will be held in the Visitation Cemetery, Norfolk following the services. Family and friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood on Saturday from 9 - 10:30 a.m. Mr. Vice passed away early Wednesday morning at the Massena Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. Robert is survived by his twin sons, Rodney Vice, Potsdam and Ross and Linda Vice, Ogdensburg; his two beloved grandchildren, Jessica Vice and Brendon (Katie) Vice and one great-granddaughter, Stella Vice as well as several nieces and nephews. Mr. Vice was pre-deceased by his parents, his wife Theresa, a daughter, Sharon and his eight siblings, Carl, Rolland, Howard, Leonard, Marion, AnnaMae and Helen.
Born in Massena, NY on October 19, 1930 to the late Henry and Grace Currier Vice, Robert graduated from High School and married Theresa LaFountain on July 4, 1959 at the Sacred Heart Church in Massena. Theresa passed away on November 8, 2018. Robert was a chef, working at the Canton-Potsdam Hospital for 20 years. Previously, he operated a restaurant in Brasher as well as owning a restaurant in Brushton for a few years. In his free time, he enjoyed music, camping, fishing and gardening and was a dedicated husband and father. Memories and condolences may be shared online at www.buckfuneralhome.com .
