COLTON - Jerry E. Fisher, 77, a resident of the United Helpers Maplewood Campus, Canton and formerly of Colton, passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 23, 2025. Born on June 5, 1948 to Elmer E. and Mary (Hubbard) Fisher, he was a 1966 graduate of Colton-Pierrepont Central School. He married Virginia (Jeanie) Smith on September 16, 1967 in the United Methodist Church in South Colton. Jerry worked for the Local 2 Bricklayers Union where he was a 50 plus year member, working on many area schools and hospitals over the years. He was fortunate to work alongside both of his sons at various jobs. Jerry later worked at Corning Inc. in Canton as a Bricklayer until his retirement in 2010. Together, Jerry and Jeannie raised their family in Colton, enjoying NASCAR, boating, golf, horses and attending his children and grandchildren sporting events. Jerry loved spending time with his family and dog Willow. Jerry will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his sharp wit and never ending humor.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 57 years, Virginia (Jeannie), his daughter Felicia (Bill) Bonno, his daughter Heather (Ed) Fisher and his son, Justin (Lori) Fisher. Jerry is also survived by his beloved 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, his sister Judy Ames as well as several nieces and nephews. Jerry was pre-deceased by his parents Elmer and Mary, a son Toby Fisher, a brother Elmer A. Fisher, his sister Sarah Sevey and a grandson Joshua E. Bonno.

Graveside services for Jerry will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at 10 a.m. in the Pleasant Mound Cemetery in Colton. Memorial donations in Jerry's memory can be made to a charity of one's choice and memories and condolences may be shared online at www.buckfuneralhome.com .
