WADDINGTON - Carolyn A. Ellis, 82, passed away July 14, 2025 at SUNY Upstate Medical Center with her loving husband by her side.? Born on June 19, 1943 in Massena, NY to parents Charles J. and Jennie E. Weegar Taillon. Carolyn was a beloved wife, daughter, sister, and aunt to her many nieces and nephews. She touched the lives of many with her outgoing nature, generosity, compassion and intellect.? She graduated from Madrid-Waddington Central School and earned her Master's degree in teaching at SUNY Potsdam. Her teaching career began in the Ogdensburg ?school district and continued at the Madrid-Waddington school district until her retirement in 1998. Carolyn taught for over thirty years, was an enthusiastic teacher and was adored by her students.? When Carolyn was not teaching and grading papers, she enjoyed working in her yard and mowing her lawn. She also enjoyed crafts and had a special hobby building intricate dollhouses. Christmas and Thanksgiving holidays were some of her favorite times. Her warmth, generosity and love for her family, will be remembered and cherished by all those that survive her.

Carolyn is survived by her beloved husband Ray, her siblings, Margaret Steen, Audrey Szafranski, and Wayne (Mary) Taillon, and sister-in-law Gail Taillon. She was pre-deceased by her parents Charles and Jennie Weegar Taillon, her brother Clark Taillon and her in-laws Carl and Grace Ellis. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. ? A private service will be held for the family at? the Visitation Cemetery in Norfolk.
