Born in Norwood, NY on June 30, 1932 to the late Walter J. and Marion S. Jean married Sebastian J. "Popeye" Fiacco on November 27, 1954. Popeye later passed away in February of 1992. Jean was a proud Registered Nurse of 56 years, working at many North Country facilities which include the St. Lawrence Psychiatric Center, the Canton-Potsdam Hospital, the Potsdam Nursing Home, NNCS and Hospice of St. Lawrence Valley, where she was the project coordinator. In her spare time, she enjoyed walking, shopping, going out to lunch, gardening and cooking. Most of all, Jean enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was also a member of the St. Lawrence County Citizens Patrol. Her home was always open to the community and every moment of her day she was a nurse to the 'dear neighbor' - family, friends and strangers. Jean was spiritually and physically a nurse without exception.
