Obituary of Jacqueline A. "Jackie" LeaShomb

NORWOOD-- Calling hours for Jacqueline A. "Jackie" LeaShomb, 74, a resident of 19 Cottage Street, Norwood, will be held on Sunday, March 30, 2025 from 4-7 p.m. at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood. Prayers will be offered at the conclusion of calling hours by Pastor Tim Weller. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at the Church of the Nazarene in Potsdam on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 starting at 2:30 p.m. Mrs. LeaShomb passed away early Thursday morning, March 27, 2025 at her home surrounded by family. Jackie is survived by her husband of 43 years, Danny LeaShomb, Norwood; two sons, Matthew St.Pier, Norwood and Danny Jr. and Angel LeaShomb, Norfolk; three daughters, Sandra St.Pier, Norwood; Joanna St.Pier, Massena and Meagan and Jason Holmes, Winthrop; her seven beloved grandchildren, Noah Holmes, Abigail Holmes, Indi LeaShomb, Christopher and Kali St.Pier, Nathan Daniel Charles Triplett, Hunter Cabaniss and Hayden Cheslesy; several great-grandchildren; two brothers, Richard "Dickie" and Candace Sheridan, Massena and Rob Sheridan, Canton and a sister, Ginny Sheridan, Canton. Jackie was pre-deceased by her parents, two sisters, Deanna Stevenson and Cathy Froats. Jackie was born in Canton, NY on June 3, 1950 to the late Richard and Jacqueline Merwin Sheridan and attended school in Canton. She married Ronald St.Pier and after his passing, Jackie later married Danny T. LeaShomb Sr. on September 24, 1983. Jackie worked at the Canton-Potsdam Hospital for over 20 years as a nurse's aide and also provided care to people in private home care. She was a communicant of the New Life Christian Fellowship church in Norfolk and in her free time, Jackie enjoyed going to bingo, playing a few tickets, watching t.v., especially murder/mysteries which include Murder She Wrote, NCIS and Castle. Most of all, Jackie loved spending time with her family and friends and her home was open to all. Memories and condolences may be shared online at www.buckfuneralhome.com .
