COLTON -- Graveside services for Jane R. Mousaw, 84, a resident of 528 Gulf Road, Colton, will be held on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at 4 p.m. at the Pleasant Mound Cemetery in Colton with Pastor William Huckle presiding. Family and friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home in Colton on Wednesday from 1 - 4 p.m. Jane passed away early Friday morning, March 14, 2025 at the Massena Memorial Hospital with family at her side.
Jane is survived by five children, Peggy L. Mousaw and Andre Karl, Colton; Bonnie and James Emburey, Colton; Christopher Mousaw and Pam Tyo, St. Regis Falls; Bridget and Thomas Matthie, Colton and Karen Mousaw and Bob Denny, Port Richey, FL; her beloved seven grandchildren, Levi Mousaw, Gregory and VickyJo Emburey, Thomas and Danielle Emburey, Madisyn Mousaw and fiance Keagan Dukett, Marissa Messner, Garrett Messner and Devin and Leane Matthie; three great-grandchildren, Natalie, Clay and Margo; two brothers, Arthur and Robin Green Jr., Pierrepont and Thomas Green, Pierrepont and three sisters, Edith Curry, Pierrepont; Ella Roberts, Pierrepont and Geraldine and Ronald Johnson, Pierrepont as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Jane was pre-deceased by her parents, her husband Lee R. Mousaw, a son Kevin Mousaw and her siblings Daniel, Richard, Donald, Frederick, Edward, Eldred "Herb", George, Tony, Archie, Betty, Freida, Bonnie and Beverly.
Born in Potsdam, NY on September 14, 1940 to the late Arthur C. and Grace F. Petrie Green, Jane married Lee R. Mousaw on August 22, 1959 at the Colton Methodist Church. She was a devoted homemaker as well as working at the Super Duper in Potsdam, the Colton Hotel and working in Food service at Clarkson University. In her free time, Jane loved spending time with her family and friends, going out to eat and taking car rides and will always be remembered for her love of singing karaoke music, especially country music, at local establishments and events.
