RAYMONDVILLE – Graveside services for Joyce Dewey, 82, a resident of Woodland Drive, Raymondville, will be held in the spring at the Visitation Cemetery in Norfolk. Mrs. Dewey passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2025 at the Massena Memorial Hospital. Joyce is survived by her two sons, Alvin "Corky" and Debra Dewey II, Norwood and Dennis Dewey, Winthrop; one grandson, Hunter M. Dewey; a brother, Paul (Son Yo) Fedoryk, Raymondville and a sister, JoAnne Fleury, Massena as well as her nieces, nephews and cousins. Born in Huntington, Long Island to the late Hercule U. and Constance Wolski Dupuis, Joyce graduated from East Meadow High School in 1960. She married Alvin G. Dewey on October 10, 1964 at St. Raphael's Church in East Meadow, Long Island. Alvin later passed away on November 17, 2008 after 44 years of marriage. Joyce worked for the Town of Hempstead in the marriage license bureau from 1960 to 1964. They moved to the North Country and she was a devoted homemaker, raising her two sons and then worked for the St. Lawrence County Public Health Department from 1978 until her retirement in 2000. Joyce was a devoted parishioner of St. Raymond's / Church of the Visitation where she belonged to the Altar and Rosary Society. In her spare time, Joyce loved her family and enjoyed reading, doing counted cross stitch and her beloved cats. Memories and condolences may be shared online at www.buckfuneralhome.com .
