NORFOLK—JoAnne Woods, 68, of Ogdensburg and formerly of Norfolk, died on Monday, April 5, 2021 at home, where she was under the care of family and Hospice and Palliative Care of the St. Lawrence Valley. JoAnne was born February 18, 1953 in Syracuse, daughter of Anthony Sr. and Elizabeth M. (Pogh) Woods. She graduated from Canton High School. JoAnne worked as a custodian at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse and at the Dialysis Center.
JoAnne is survived by a son, Jimmy Baker, daughters, Elaine Baker Collette and Angelica Baker; by step-sons, Tony, Ted and Joe Baker; step-daughter, Patricia Baker Lewis; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Also surviving are a brother, Anthony Woods Jr. and sisters, Elaine Woods and Mary Jewtraw.
In addition to her parents, JoAnne is predeceased by a step-son, Ralph Baker.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Seaway House, Catholic Charities at 212 Caroline Street; Ogdensburg, New York 13669.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, April 15, 2021 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at the Buck Funeral Home, Norfolk. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 12:00 pm with burial in the Visitation Cemetery, Norfolk immediately following.
