When I think of Noreen Hopsicker, the first thing that comes to mind is lasagna, but I'll get to that later. Noreen was my mother, Dorothy Walsh's best friend. Mom and Noreen played bridge together, went to church together, traveled together, got their hair done together (Noreen was always impeccably dressed and meticulously groomed) and ate out together, a lot. In the fall and winter of 1997 Noreen and Mom supported each other as their husbands battled serious health problems. My father passed away first, and even though Noreen was incredibly busy taking care of Joe, she created and delivered an enormous tray of lasagna, which our family devoured before Dad's calling hours. Joe passed away three weeks later and Mom and Noreen checked
on each other every morning and shared the transition. Three years ago, I had the unenviable task of calling Noreen to tell her that my mother had passed away. Noreen and I cried and laughed together that day; I am grateful that I had the opportunity to thank Noreen for being the sister my mother never had. The extended Walsh family sends sympathy to Noreen's family. Nancy Walsh Kline

Dave, Larry & family, Lorraine & I wish to pass along our condolences to you. We really didn't know your Mom, but certainly knew Joe through the business and golf over the years. It's times like this that makes being so far away makes it difficult for us to not be there in person. Your Mom and Joe are now back together and most likely having their next dance together. We're certain that you all have wonderful memories that will get you thru this difficult time. The most special of relationships is between a mother and her sons. God Bless, Bill & Lorraine Ford, Daytona Beach, FL

Larry, David and families, it was one of our greatest honors to have been able to spend so much time with your Mom, Noreen, and your Dad, Joe. We were all part of a fantastic group of friends who vacationed together in Maine every year and hosted monthly dinner parties. Oh - the stories we could tell! We will miss them terribly and thank God we had the opportunity to spend wonderful years together. Joe with his golfing and Noreen with her bridge and card games are very treasured memories. May your memories of them sustain you through this difficult time. Thinking of you all, Joe and Lou Cutler

I have so many wonderful memories of your mom. Noreen was like a second mother to me. She knew me from the time I was born! I remember my mom and I would spend a few weeks every summer vacationing at their beautiful home. I always felt so loved by Noreen. She treated me like her daughter! Whenever she and Joe came down to Utica we would always see them too. They were a huge part of my life, as was Larry and David. I will always treasure her and these precious memories.

David, Larry, and family,
I have so many wonderful memories of the times I spent with Noreen. I will miss her greatly. She was a true lady with many sides....a sharp sense of humor, a wonderful storyteller, a woman of great faith, and above all, a mother who always spoke of her boys with great love. Rest In Peace and be with your Lord, Noreen ✝️

Dear Family,
Condolences to all. Larry and I have great memories of your parents. I still have the antique vase your Mom gave me.
We had some great visits and lunches. One day I asked her, Noreen, how did you raise your two sons? She said, " I don't know
Mickey but there they are!" You all are in our thoughts and prayers.
Much love,
