COLTON—Funeral Services for 80 year old Rosalie J. Fisher, a resident of 31 Symonds Square, Colton, will be held privately at the Colton Methodist Church with Pastor Brooke Newell presiding. There will be no public calling hours. Rosalie passed away in the early morning hours of Saturday, February 3, 2018 at her home with her family at her side. Rosalie is survived by her husband of 62 years, Edward, Colton; her son, Kennon Fisher, Cheshire, Connecticut; her daughter, Kimberly J. Fisher, Colton; her two beloved grandchildren, William and Elizabeth Fisher; Cheshire, Connecticut, two brothers, Paul and Carlton Caster, both of Colton, NY and two sisters, Ardena Sill in Pennsylvania and Bessie Page of Colton as well as several nieces and nephews. Rosalie was pre-deceased by a brother William Caster and a sister, Ruth Weller. Born in Hannawa Falls, NY on January 21, 1938 to the late William and Georgie Storrs Caster, she married Edward E. Fisher on September 9, 1955 at the Baptist Church, Potsdam officiated by the Rev. Orin Hess. They had a special bond and were rarely seen without the other. Rosalie worked at Carey's Jewelry Store in Potsdam and also was a daycare provider for many children at her home for many years. The children affectionately called her "Grandma Rose". She was a communicant of the Colton Methodist Church. Rose loved attending the Clarkson hockey games, traveling and camping with her family, tending to her flower gardens in which she took great pride and she loved her animals. She was known for her homemade donuts, jellies and jams. Rose could shop for hours and especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her memory can be made to the American Cancer Society and memories and condolences may be shared online at www.buckfuneralhome.com .
