SOUTH COLTON—A Celebration of Life gathering for 74 year old Carol A. Silver, a resident of 196 East Hill Road, South Colton, will be held on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at the Amvets Post #262 in Colton, NY from 4-8 p.m. Carol passed away Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at the Alice Hyde Medical Center in Malone, NY. Carol is survived by her longtime companion, Frank Fisher, South Colton; her four sons, Scott Gravlin and Marylou Demarest, Ogdensburg; Michael and Kelly Gravlin, Massena; James Gravlin and his companion Gary McMahan, Davenport, FL; Derrick and Jane Gravlin, South Colton; her daughter, Sue and Wayne Francis, Massena; her 16 beloved grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Carol is also survived by a brother, Timothy Silver, Brasher Falls and three sisters, Nancy and Daniel Lannning, Webster ,FL; Laurie and Wesley Keese, Norfolk and Ginger Silver, Florence, Alabama as well as several nieces and nephews. Carol was pre-deceased by her parents and a brother Daniel Silver. Born in Massena, NY on June 29, 1943 to the late Henry and Catherine Oney Silver, Carol worked as a cook at the Sheraton Inn in Massena for many years as well as being a beautician at her home. Carol enjoyed cooking, going camping and taking an occasional trip to the casino. In memory of her love for cats, memorial donations in her memory can be made to the Potsdam Animal Shelter and memories and condolences may be shared online at www.buckfuneralhome.com .
