Obituary of Alice M. Goodrich

NORWOOD-- Funeral Services for Alice M. Goodrich, 90, a resident of Newport, NY for the last 2 ½ years and formerly of Norwood, will be held Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 2 p.m. at St. Philip's Episcopal Church in Norwood with Mother Kathryn Boswell presiding. Burial will be held in Riverside Cemetery, Norwood in the springtime. Family and friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood on Saturday from 11:30 until 1:30 p.m. Alice passed away early Wednesday morning, February 21, 2018 at the Faxton-St. Luke's Health Care Center in New Hartford, NY. Alice is survived by her six daughters, Dianne and Joe Fiacco, Newport, NY with whom she resided with for the last 2 ½ years; Teri Ames and Charles "Chip" Giordano, Hannawa Falls, who also helped with her care; Elaine Ames, Potsdam; Wendy and Dale Pryce, Massena; Christine Gladle, Laconia, NH; Marsha Goodrich and Craig Ferry, Perry, NY; a son, W. Brian Goodrich, Rochester, NY. Alice is also survived by her 11 grandchildren and several great-grand and great-great-grandchildren and well as several nieces and nephews. Alice was pre-deceased by her husband Wendell, a son, Bruce Goodrich, two grandsons, Brian Ames and Rodney Gladle Jr., a son-in-law Rodney Glade Sr. and her six brothers and five sisters. Born in Syracuse, NY on May 15, 1927 to the late Arthur A. and Katherine McGraw Agley, Alice graduated from Norwood High School in 1946 and married Wendell Goodrich on September 2, 1946. Wendell passed away in 2003. Alice worked for 20 years at Clarkson University in food service, retiring in 2002. Alice was a member of the Norwood Senior Citizens and the Norwood Volunteer Fire Department Woman's Auxiliary and enjoyed cooking and baking for everyone as well as spending time with her family as well as going bowling and playing golf.
